I am the last person in the world to fall for or try gimmicky things.

[Linked Image]

This was recommended by my proper engineering garage where I go for Morgan MOT's as the emissions on the 27 year old Plus 8 were close despite the Italian tune up. When he speaks I listen..

So yesterday I brimmed the tank and chucked the 400ml bottle in and the difference is noticeable in performance.

I did the same with the Sport and no change.

Just wondering if this is worth trying on those mucky Plus 4 models of a few years back.

When I had my plus 8 emissions were always challenging. My tame MOT man would always do emissions first before starting the test proper. They were sometimes out of range, he recommended this stuff on a half tank

And an 80 mile blast down the A55, back on the tester and certificate issued a couple of hours later

Make of it what you will

Well it got through, so his advise was good is what I make of it - sounds like the same mixture to me but more expensive...but on half a tank potent..

My old plus 8 (1978) was difficult with emissions. My cooperative MOT garage used to disconnect the breather that fed from the head to the inlet manifold. He would then ignore the smoke coming out there and say pleasantly "I don't measure there...my probe goes in the exhaust!"

After my restoration (with new carbs and engine rebuild), I took my 1980 Plus 8 (238,000 miles) in for an MOT to check I'd not missed anything vital. I was disappointed that it failed its emissions and took it home to check it all over. Found two plug leads had been put on incorrectly so I was running a Plus 6 with two cylinder petrol vapour emitters! The long time in lay up had perhaps made me forget how good the performance was.
With plug leads correct, I had an MOT pass and improved performance. If only it was normally so simple.
