Did you you do it properly and borrow the grey mare? It is one steep hill down from the Haytor side. My dad's brakes failed on his BSA 350 with mum on the back one of their earlier dates. He was terrified , she loved it.

We always drive that way in as the view of the village is wonderful.

I've never figured whether there's any connection, but there's a quaint litle village of the same name in Dorset mid-way between Blandford and Salisbury (Wilts)
