Thanks very much Dave - clever design and really clear and helpful pictures. I assume that when installed, the driver and passengers seats have to be kept aligned (fore-aft / backrest angle) ? I'll see if I can find some fittings to slide over the CX head restraint columns. The yellow paintwork on F4 MGN is stunning.

Thanks! Yes the seats have to be kept at the same position. The Yellow is Lotus Saffron, which I wanted as being close to gorse flowers!

I did make a makeshift perspex windblocker from some waste i had. It did stop some of the wind around the cabin area but if anything the dust and spray was actually worse also it needed some fine tuning around the headrest area totally different to a trad. it was also a pain if the seats werent in the same position so i abandoned the idea. The prototype is now gathering its own dust in the garage.

I suppose in theory you could do one for each seat. The 'overlap' would need some thinking about, but the crucial part of this is covering the opening behind the seats with a quarter tonneau cover. That eradicates any draught low down between the seats.

With only around 150 ish plus sixes in the Uk cant see anyone producing one for sale anytime soon. On a long run on the motorway the buffeting gets a bit tedious to be fair. Not so much in a trad or aero.

It's for the same reason that nobody makes a tool tray for trads. Too many variables. And creating a windstop to work, even on 150 cars will be a challenge, and the time involved doesn't really stack up. Although a well designed bracket which could be 3D printed might work. If you got the brackets, then figuring out a perspex solution would be possible.

I've binned my tool tray........... it's in the very least accessible location if any tools are need in a rush...!!!🤦🏻♂️ Tyre changing stuff is under the spare wheel and general small tools and bits are in my under bonnet mini tool box.....
Dave, if you could only keep one..................... which would it be......??? Roadster or narrow body +4.......????? OR.............. perhaps it's something else....................😁

Roadster. No question. They are close on the road, but the GDI is bouncier, and the throttle is too sensitive so it takes effort. Whereas the Roadster is very easy on all counts. But it's only like a 5% margin. GDI is almost as fast on normal country roads, and looks amazing, even after ten years. The Getrag box on the Roadster is also more user friendly than the MX5 box.
