Steve, Firstly Sir congrats on a lovely clean car, Breaks my heart when I see them grease laden and filthy!
I too can give a thumbs up for Cains shocks. When I needed to change mine I knew he had been developing them and had been holding off but my rears were next to useless so I bought some adjustable spax options and as I had a set of standard Bilsteins on the shelf I fitted them. When a pal later needed new shocks I told him to go with Cain and I fitted them with him... he won't mind me saying he has two left hands! Are they better than my fit...... you bet, worlds apart. Yes I have never been an oficionado of front shocks on a classic, I have talked in depth on the matter before, But the rear end is important. Most adjustable shocks for a mog on the back end seem to have an harshness about them which increases far more than the effect of increasing the damping quality as you move up the scale to get the damping level as you'd like it. Cain's do not suffer with this. as you move through the scale you don't seem to lose the comfort effect yet the ride stiffens in a way that limits the travel. I'm probably now going to be looking for a reason to swap mine out which of course is ridiculous but I'll bet I end up fitting the rear shock's as that little devil is already chirping in my ear! Thanks, I cleaned her up a little when everything was off. A tip from Cain was to threadlock the dust covers, so I learned to take them on and off easily. Another thing to note, under no circumstances undo the allen bolt in the adjuster nut of the damper, as you will have to take the damper out again to put the adjuster back on ;-). I have a set of neoprene rebound sping covers on way from Aliexpress now for the summer, until it gets stripped down again in winter for new springs. I have the bump stops on rear fitted by Jimmy, fellow forum member and previous owner, so will look into the rear dampers from Cain shortly. The car has the quick rack fitted, so next may be a steering damper, just to take the edge off for longer journeys. My king pins are very well greased, but a remote kit is in the planning, for ease. These cars are a joy to work on, so much easier than a modern vehicle!

Personally I don't cover my springs as I like to see what is going on and keep them clean!
Remote greasing..... I thought what a great idea when first I was an owner, however it's difficult to assess how much you are pushing in, is it enough or too little? You can't see it coming out from up there and you certainly aren't going to remove the excess. For me, well you have to be there! I reached the conclusion that the only time I would reconsider fitting them would be if I toured extensively and did not want to crawl around like a Mille Mille mechanic in the hotel car park but you'd still have to cope with the GREASE GUN! and like pulling stinging nettles it'll get you! Much/ better were in the days when my dad would ask a local garage to put a little grease in when on holiday!

Thank goodness those days are over for me.......hated it, didn't enjoy making space in a relatively confined cockpit for the grease gun when on tour, and then having to scrabble around underneath whilst on holiday, just filled me with dread. But as typical of Morgan replace one opportunity with another. Whist you still had to wipe the excess grease off when using the remote greasing, that's much better than some of the pfaff you can experience getting access to the grease nipple to grease from underneath whilst on some carpark floor.

I have Cain's shocks front and rear, transformed the car. Love the simplicity of the remote greasing.

I quite like the greasing part, just the top access is tricky when not on a jack. I've got quite adapt at taking the wheels off now and raising her up at home, less fun on a trip, which I plan quite a few hopefully1

The nipple extension is an ace idea, my car is ten years old soon, I’ve not noticed any change to the handling but perhaps it’s time to look for improvements.

Or the remote greasing kit from Cain. But don't forget to wipe away excess grease & the spanner check of the front of the car.

This is my mod for the top kingpin nipple access, easy to then reach over the top of the tyre Now that is very tidy! I did the same 8 years ago. My supplier: Lubeline, part number NG6303 1/8 BSP 1” extension adapter. From Website, select Products/Accessories/Adapters then see table on page 3 of 6.
