I have a 2025 Plus Four with a Librands luggage rack with sidescreen space. Both the car and the rack are brand new. The factory storage bag with both sidescreens inside is such a tight fit that it takes 4 strong hands to insert and remove the bag. Also, we can only remove the bag by pushing up on the bottom edge of the bag. When we have luggage on the rack, we'll lose access to the bottom edge. We've tried pairing the sidescreens inside to inside and outside to outside. Either arrangement is extremely tight, literally requiring great force to insert all the way. I'm afraid that continuing to force the bag past the center rail will distort the sidescreens' shapes. And, with luggage added, the weight might even bend the rail down pinching and totally blocking the sidescreens. Anyone else face this issue? Any solutions to suggest? Thanks.

No. I have a factory one. Why not call Librands?

I've called Librands and have spoken with Nick several times. They just keep saying that it's designed to be tight to protect the sidescreens and they've sold "hundreds" with no complaints. I just sold my 2005 Roadster which had the similar Librands rack and never had this problem with that rack. It was snug but not impossibly tight. If I force the bag in and somehow down all the way, I feel it will distort and damage the sidescreens. I'm going on a Morgan trip in 2 days and will unfortunately travel with them inside the car. VERY inconvenient! I'll have to resolve this somehow after I return.

Was the sidescreen space perhaps damaged during transport from the UK to the US? A photo would be helpful.

Could you ask on here or of Librands to measure the gap. I doesn't sound right to me. . You could always wrap the screen in an old sheet if it gives space. I know it own't look nice but at least you'll have luggage room

Try putting thesidescreens in inside to outside on adjacent screens i.e. following the same "curve".
Your two versions might be creating a fat fit as the curvatures add to each other creating a fatter profile.
My 2023 Plus Four has a Librands rack over a spare wheel and no problems.

Hi Clemens,
I checked the rails for straightness and found the topmost rail is very slightly bowed down. Being a woodworker, I do have very reliable straight edge tools. There is approximately a 1/16" "dip" in the middle of the top rail. I tried to spread the rails apart with a spreader tool that I configured and it works but when I remove the tool, the top rail returns to its bent position. My rack is powder coated so I'm afraid to apply heat to the rail. And even if I succeed in unbending the rail, When I add luggage it will probably just bend further down and pinch the sidescreens. I can't mess with trying to claim who done it, everyone involved including the shipping people. will point the finger at someone else. Not worth the time and trouble.

Hi moggin,
You must exceed the yield point to restore the tube to its original shape.

I have the same Librands rack and a side screen bag that was made by Allon White. Mine fits just fine. It's a good fit. Which side screen bags are you using?

Mine works ok for the sidescreen bag.
The only issue was I had to use stainless washers to adjust it towards the Left on the rear mounts to get the t-bar hole in-line with the threaded base. That sorted the L-R alignment. I use a padded insert
Below the spare wheel to get the vertical alignment correct. The spare slips down under its own weight as it rests on the smooth plastic liner beneath it. I might try non-slip tape as an alternative.
