Lol It is of course impossible to fault find over a forum, one must lay one's hands upon the patient so to speak. It literally could be anything from a loose battery terminal or fuel pump connection, to something more complex within the Omex 200, and a myriad of faults in between. The good news is, it sounds like you found the issue and fixed it

Ha ha! Yes!! It took a few weeks and phone call to my equivalent of Yoda…..
Complex it wasn’t and highlighted a lifetime of experience over analytical brains!
I continue to learn

Most excellent that is Andrew Talking experience, may I seek the benefit of your superior track driving tyre pressure knowledge? Tomorrow morning I'll be attending the Williams Morgan track day at Castle Combe, for track days I have a second set of wires shod with Toyo Proxy 888R tyres in 195/50 R15 that are now nicely scrubbed in, in my experience these tyres offer insane grip even in damp conditions, but need to be treated with caution where standing water may appear. We think Monty weighs roughly 940kg, while forecasts are not in perfect agreement most models place temperatures between 11°C and 14°C during our sessions, with easterly winds around 15 mph and a persistent chance of light showers rather than prolonged heavy rain. Measured when hot, what tyre pressures do you recommend we run? Thanks in advance, most welcome your advice shall be

28 psi when cold is a good place to start. I tend to find 25 too low (feels squishy) and you should look at what the pressure is when hot for reference.

Dcoe 40's would probably help top end running to rich. are you using iridium plugs. bigger burn pattern and more heat tolerant . Also is the miss fire due to fuel delivery in that delivery is not consistent. I can't believe with everything you carefully chose and tested that it is not something ridiculously small. Valve issue?

Ha! You’re both getting warmer!!
It was completely odd ball (at least to me). 😅🤯🤬🤣🤪
As for running rich - whilst we could try to improve this - we actually get good power (in fact more than we expected) with this setup, given its running at Wide Open Throttle most of the time it’s effectively getting a constant Italian tune up. The slightly rich run also means we’re not getting an overly hot burn which could happen if we leaned out.
As for spark plugs - We have tried a combination of Iridium single electrode and Bosh non iridium quad electrode.
At the moment we’re favouring the quad electrode route. This style of plugs were first introduced when Unleaded was introduced and by comparison it needed a bit more ommph to get the burn going. Given we’re slightly rich running we figured this would give a better diversified burn/point of ignition pattern and be more resistant to sooting.

K Nope - that would have been visible since the engine build….. but closer. Sorry I don’t intend to be mean … though this is a good game of hide and seek. I have at least one more episode to release that covers it and I don’t want to spoil the reveal!! 😁😁
