Why worry about new prices all the time when there are so many tremendous deals out there s hand. And just for clarity Mat Humphries seems to always get the glory on here regarding the Aero. It was in production for quite a while before he came along and stuck a roof on it.

I watch way too many YT vids, though in one it reported that the Chinese C.P. had apparently decreed that there would be no petrol stations after a date in the not too distant future in their country.. Also it seem China are well ahead of the rest of the world in terms of the electrification of transport systems..?

Germany is considering introducing e20 petrol by/in 2027, even the current CX can't run on that without a fuel pump change.....assuning you can change the pump.......interesting times ahead.

john, some years back when contemplating the possible need to return to a tin top sports car, the air-cooled 911 was at the top of a short list, but one of the crosses on the tick list was that Porsche suggested that their air cooled cars were not suited to running on "e" fuels...?

I suspect that my old Mog might run better on old pre e fuels, but seems to suffer no ills that I can detect running on premium fuels from Shell or BP that it has been drinking over the last 20+ years...So far so good... (-:

I think a lot will depend on how the next U.S. administration behaves. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if a Democratic-led administration were to continue the Republicans’ energy policy. In any case, the Democrats are likely to have a better chance of winning the election.

And, more than likely, a lot of hassle.

There was one stored beside my Morgan. Every time I saw the owner, he was either getting it transported to an independent specialist, or having one come to the storage, to fix the latest issue. None seemed to be easy to fix and none were in expensive. I don't think I saw it out being used once because every time he came to take it out, there was a new fault. There was another owner, in the same unit, but with a Mondial. The looks had really grown on me but the fact he'd spent nearly £20,000 in two years, and then sold it for £20k, having bought it for £30k three years previous was enough to remind me to steer clear. Neither of the cars mentioned were old nags - they both look the part and had lots of paperwork in their history files.

For me, of all of Alistair's links, the MST one seems to the most reliable and enjoyable option - perfect for small Devon roads and, from what I've heard, an absolute pleasure to drive. I know someone, who worked in the top position in the automotive manufacturing world, who has visited them a few times, and the feedback was that they are really building these cars to a high level, with a lot of care and attention to quality / usability.
