Paused for a pee and take on water, a very drying day, this is at Kenton a very nice wooded area and it avoids the M5 en route to Clyst St George.

Given the weather today, it seemed a crime to let leave the old Mog slumbering in the garage, so fired it up and headed towards the Trossachs, then on to Kilmahog (no pigs came to any harm this trip), carried on up to Lochearnhead, Glen Turret , famed for wiskey, then on to Kenmore, Glen Lyon, Killin, back towards Callander, then over the hills and home, Circa 180 miles mostly bumbling along on the single track roads, a tad quicker on the" A" roads as best not to hold up the heavies, though pick the right time and you can feel as if you have the road to yourself....

I'm afraid i just cant get in to the Morgan yet-4 weeks ove a knee replacement - but nearly there!!! Enjoy the good weather Guys(Green here!)

It was 'Bring your Morgan to work day' today. Mainly because the GT gets really hot during the day, and I've run out of petrol.....

Enjoyable drive today albeit only 11 miles with the Morganeer to the recently re-thatched, grade 2 listed, 17 century Chequers pub at Thompson located between Thetford and Watton.



There to join three other TM'rs for a more than ample GEG lunch. Side screens off managed to stay reasonably cool on the drive there and within pub but seriously warm on the journey back.

300 mile round trip to Doncaster area yesterday for family event. Not very comfortable due to heat but car ran perfectly despite, passing within two miles of Santon Downham near Thetford which now holds the record for highest UK temperature at 37.3°C.

With 500 miles clocked since replacing throttle pedal sensor looks like this may have finally sorted the misfire problem I had.

Due to the extreme heat this week my Morgan hasn't left the garage, but it's cooled to a manageable 30° so I brought it out this morning for a run.

Tomorrow is the annual Austin 7 rally at Beaulieu. I'm not confident enough in my Chummy to drive quite that far, so Mrs W and I will be motoring down through the New Forest in the 4/4. It's always a good weekend and you don't even need to be a club member or own an A7 to attend. It's a very inclusive event!

Cars & Cuppas for me at Windslade Manor, 500 cars from kit to Supercars, a few old colleagues from SVS FMD days are going so we are going to lunch there for old times sake where our offices were back in the day.
