Four night expedition to deepest Suffolk in this glorious weather. Familiar with its neighbour to the north but not so much this part of EA.

Looks like you did most of it.

We spent Wed - Fri on the CX owners tour of Kent. Fantastic organisation by Peter & Linda including the weather.

With the weather improved dramatically & with perfect planning by the Morganeer the GEG enjoyd a St SWMBOs lunch with our better halves.
What more do you need in life.

With temperature shown by the CX at up to 36.5c Hawki & I drove up side screens off to Whatton near Thetford to have lunch with the Morganeer, RichardV6 & Ray at the Chequers Inn built c 1600.
A fun if hot day out to the wilds of Norfolk where Bob isn't necessarily just your Uncle.

Petrol at 142.9 in Woolpit going home was a treat. The CX was running at 44.7 mpg between fills.

West Somerset to Plymouth, Brittany ferry to Roscoff, then down the West Coast to Bordeaux and finally to Bergerac. A hot drive, around 37 deg before Bordeaux, so we cheated and ran hood up and aircon on for that sector. No major rain but very humid.
Used the Peage toll motorways and a prepaid car transducer so no stopping at the toll gates,, not great motoring but faster and available fuel stops on the motorway. . Some queuing around Nantes and Bordeaux but only for a few minutes at changes of roads.
Lots of folk liked the Plus Six and lots asked to take photos of it at the motorway food stops.. The Plus Six ran well but is now very bug splattered..

Around Pont Aven in Southern Brittany on the N165 we were overtaken by a Ivory coloured Morgan towing what seemed to be a very close coupled matching trailer with what looked to be a wooden brandy barrel mounted on it with its own central red flashing light on its top..we were crusing, so did not give chase. The car had euro plates, but I could not see what nationality , I believe it was French.. Its the first time we have seen a Morgan towing a trailer.

Last point, we have changed our luggage bag to two 60 litre waterproof "overboard"" duffel bags, the two bags fit and strap down well on the rear standard luggage rack and you can still see the central brake light in the rear hood, plus two bags are easier to lift about than one big one.!!

Ray brought his new to him 3.7l Roadster & Dean having sold his Aero his e type.
So only my CX on parade next to the trads.

You do take a great photo John, Hoping the weather holds till I am there in a couple of months.

A run out with Hawki for coffee at Shotley today. It was warmer than the photo suggests of Felixstowe Docks & Harwich, side screens were off.
