I had been thinking about completely removing the easy up hood and the frame and getting some sort of half tonneau/parcel shelf cover made......... at least for the summer..... I prefer the clean lines....😁 I've been thinking about it for so long now that summer is nearly over......😎
I'm sure there is someone, probably on here, who's had a +8 for donkeys years, done 250k miles in it and never had the hood up....... or the sidescreens on........ (now that's propper Morganeering.........🤷🏻♂️😁).... so you don't really need a hood..........😁
🇬🇧🇬🇧 I have done around 55,000 miles without the roof up on my +8. Recently completed a 4000 mile round trip to Vancouver Island from Colorado without the roof and side screens, always wear my white cloth flying helmet and "Beau Geste" style hat with a big peak to protect me from the wind noise and sun. Driving on the back roads of America is an absolute blast and best enjoyed with no roof or side screens. Rolling along at a steady 70 across the open high plains on a two lane road for 120 miles with absolutely no habitation, just a few other vehicles with large white puffy clouds in a deep blue sky and distant snow capped mountains is straight out of the movies. Mind you there are a hell of lot of bugs to clean off the windscreen and front of the Moggy after each day!!!!!

It's good to hear that there is somewhere on the planet with decent roads to explore.....😁 In the Thames Valley I'm lucky to get 120m without being held up.... Your choice of headgear is 'unique'........😎 I need a foreign legion hat.....!!!!😁 🇬🇧🇬🇧
