Clipper, almost certainly, as they changed the Plus Six and Four designs around 2023 I beieve..
The original cx design of the internal door release mechanism is fairly basic, almost a little crude. It works though, but as discussed has a weak spot.
Perhaps that's why the supersport is so expensive. Many design changes..😁😄 can't blame Morgan for trying to improve a design though. Apart from styling..

From memory making a replacement part isn't hard.
There aare two l shaped rods that slot into a plastic block. Replacing the block by another from drilled plastic box section should be possible.

Correct John, its basic, and luckily I have the equipment and time to do it. However, a lot of owners do not.
Anyway, better close the subject.. nothing to gain.. I have had my rant.😁

This situation has become fairly common in many areas. Not just Morgan but most car manufacturers. Then also white goods, tools erc.
When I had the Plus8 there was a gear linkage part that was rarer than rocking horse poo. UKC 3159....etched into my memory. A ' dust cap" that sat at the base of the gear lever. It helped reduce play in the linkage. The weakness in it was the tab for the locating bolt that would fail.Flexing cause fatigue cracks. The solution was to weld gussets to brace it. I eventually, after 3 years, found a source with pre-welded gussets. Just the one part found. I fitted it and kept my "fix" as a spare. The gear linkage was common to many vehicles using the Rover gearbox. I did consider looking to have some made to sell on due to demand. Searches showed Morgan, Cobra, transits all used the box and this part was a common failure. I had tried Rover specialists ( Rimmers, Ashcroft etc) and they didn't have any nor any oomph to source some..
Morgan build the cars. Owners finish them.
The Community work out solutions and we all benefit.
On my MY23 the door inner release became " seized" and tight so door opend from inside via the opened sidescreen. A loose plastc clip. Refitted and while accessible as many places as possible lubricated.

So, the following are two photos of the passenger side internal door handle release clip, this is the side that did not fail and distort, so I will semi copy this.

Ordered Delrin bar which should be ok as its fairly hard wearing and can operate within -40 to +120 deg C.

While in the passenger side inner door workings I may have found another " rattle/clunk" there is a medium size multiblock connection that looks like its for the remote locking, its forward in the door and sits on the lower wooden section of door, in my car its totally unsupported and rattles between the door skin and the lower wood door section. Fitted some sound deadening material in the area for it to sit on and restricted its movement.. It will be interesting to see if this stops another low speed rattle..

I fiited sound deadening material to the inner door skin. It helps I think.

Thanks John, I had already ordered some fire retardant rated acoustic insulation, it has not yet arrived, its 10mm thick self adhesive on one side and foil backed on the other side. As the cars jacked I will also add it to a few areas around the rear coilover upper mounting bolt, it might help damp some of the noises heard when going over potholes at low speeds.. ( Maybe) 😄.

Dave,

Not suggesting you set up a cottage industry, but if you have the opportunity to produce a small batch of these, I'm sure we could come to a suitable exchange of £, it would be useful to have them, just in case...I'm sure other pre MY 23 cars may have a similar interest.......not intended to apply any form influence on your future plans...well maybe a little bit.
