I have a Super 3 that won't start when hot.
On a hot day it happens after a few km's on a colder day it takes about an hour.
The start button gives no reaction at all. No relay click sounds or starter motor sounds.
When completely cooled down (The next day) everything works fine again.

The dealer is searching but has no clue so far. No error codes, no battery issue, no defect sensors / relays / fuses. They even checked the dashboard and the starter button.

Does anybody had this issue before or has an idea where to look?

Thanks,

Has the dealer checked all the earth connections?

A long shot but I'd suggest putting another battery in it to see if maybe that's the fault.

The solenoid might not like the heat.

That will be integral to the starter motor on the Ford Dragon engine

I would have thought the logical thing to do is run a temp lead from the starter motor to inside the car and attach to a multi meter.

Take a note of what a normal start looks like on the multimeter and compare to what it looks like with no start. If the multi-meter is showing same on both then its definitely the solenoid/start motor. If its showing no current in the no start, then you have a electrical issue.

I find it hard to believe a dealer couldn't trace the fault if it is easy enough to get the 3 into a none start situation?

Try swapping out the small (auxiliary) starter relay if absolutely no sound heard when operating starter button/key. If no improvement suspect the piggy back starter solenoid on motor itself. Check tightness of battery and starter trigger connections on the way. It's a poor dealer who can't solve the issue with a multimeter or at least electrically trace to a potentially faulty component.
