When I was at Malvern on Monday, there were a group of americans all checking in for factory tour and car hire, all quite mature with their accompanying wives, and one couple I knew I had seen there before when last at Malvern in April, and they do the american well known for sharing their travels and apparently it was the 19th time this couple had visited Morgan and hired a car. Everyone knew them.

On recent vists I increasing found more and more americans less so europeans squeezing themselves into a Morgan hire car about to do their England bit on theiir european travels. Great news for Morgan, but for me demonstrates where their future business lies and the move away from the UK market dependance..

I'm back there next Tuesday to collect my car after the service, so it be interesting to see how many americans are around. By the time I get there late morning I'll miss the earlier hire car pick ups, but there should be people milling around for the factory tours.

It could well be that like Stratford , Edinburgh, London and Malvern are now part of a package tour of UK sights to see and experience, do a factory tour and drive a quaint english car........

John, when you mentioned Stratford I thought, what the hell would any tourist want to go to that hell hole in E.London but then of course I added upon Avon to my thinking.

There were a lot of Yanks there when I took my No 1 Grand daughter a couple of weeks back, a good thing it shows the Latins are looking to build the future not patronise the penniless flat cappers buying nothing but secondhand. laugh2

But if the Americans face radiator issues, MMC will face litigation. So its a risky strategy, if it's not fixed properly.

Flat cappers are a lot more tolerant.

I've never thought of myself as a penniless flat capper.......... but it's probably appropriate...... being Northern as well.....😂

Well, the American market "saved" Morgan several decades ago!
Until changes in legislation in good ol' USofA made the cars unsaleale.

It would appear the dealers over here are doing quite well with sales of new Morgan's but not so well with the old on consignment sales, mainly because owners are still living in the past with regard to pricing their vehicles.
