Hello,

I bought my Morgan a few weeks ago. I've had British cars, but never a Morgan. What a cool and fun car!

I'm in Ontario, Canada and bought it from another province. The previous owner was fanatical about taking care of it. I have all the bills and so many things have been replaced and/or upgraded. The main ones being the front suspension; from what I can see on the bill it is the hard chromed parts and new springs and shocks. He said it made a huge difference in smoothing the ride. Since I have never been in a stock one I have no idea how much difference it made. But it does seem to be a nice ride as far as the front suspension goes. As far as the rear suspension, well, on anything approaching a rough road, it is pretty brutal. I've been looking at the 5 link rear suspension; very expensive but maybe worth it?

The other major thing is the EFI system. From the bills there was so much trouble with it. All sensors replaced at least once. The ECU repaired and then replaced. Finally he gave up on it and sent the car to a shop that specializes in ECU installation and they replaced the ECU with a Microsquirt system and different sensors. Apparently trouble free after that. Certainly has been for me in the little driving I've done.

I bought a Lotus Emira last year and wanted something very different from that to drive now and then. I think the Morgan fills the bill perfectly.

I have some questions but I'll leave those for now.

Rick
