Headed out on one of my usual local circular routes taking in part of the Trossachs circa 80 mile route round the lochs and glens, which can be busy at times, though I seem to have been luckt with the timing today as for many of the miles it felt as if I had the road to myself, sun shining old Mog humming a familiar tune, what`s more to want...? (-:
Most unusually, I caught a fleeting glance of a green Morgan coming from the opposite direction I gave him a wave, he may have been driving in company with a Caterham variant, I gave him a wave too... (-:

![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2026/08/24/IMG_0417.md.jpeg) Well, Trickey Dickie will know where this is, taken yesterday on our grand day out in a neighbouring county! (Past patron was T E Lawrence with his Brough Superior.)

,, ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2026/08/25/IMG_0658.jpeg) Had a look in this church yard in Rudston (on the road between Fridaythorpe and Brid) it has the tallest monolith in Britain in the grave yard, it has been there for 2,000 years and the 11century church was built adjacent to it. The lead cap was put on years ago and apparently it needs replacing.

Just wondering if you would ever consider a drive with another?

A bit of an overcast day with the sun trying it`s best to break through in places, I fired up the old Mog and headed out hoping to drive on a few miles of a very scenic and interesting back road that I tripped over when having been diverted due to a road closure, on that day I was seeking to get back on to one of my more usual routes through the village of Comrie. Today there was undoubted dampness in the air but very fortunately not a rain drop hit either the Mog or myself during the 154mile round trip, Old Mog ran sweet and true, with a bit of a dance over the rougher sections of Tarmac (-: Noted quite a number of more m/cycles on my favoured routes than usual today, no doubt enjoying the lack of traffic, variety of twists and turns and variable road surfaces..... Feeling very fortunate to be fit enough to still enjoy Morganeering, as one of life`s pleasures .. What`s more to want..? ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2026/09/11/_DSC8585.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2026/09/11/_DSC8584.jpg)

. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2026/09/11/IMG_0659.jpeg) a trip to Hull today to have a look round the renovated Maritime museum, well worth a look. While there I had a look at the Arctic Corsair which has been restored and is due to open to the public next year, it is the. last of the sidewinder trawlers and held the record for the largest haul of cod.
