My fuel gauge was showing 10%, I filled up for the first time today and it only took 25 litres to fill to the brim, now showing 100%
I thought the capacity was 55 litres, so at 10% I would have expected to need around 50 litres to fill the tanks.
I think the gauge isn't showing an accurate reading.
Anyone else experienced any fuel gauge issues ?

On my plus4, the fuel gauge is an approximation, not an accurate indication of fuel state!!! Shows full for about 120 KMS then drops rapidly to 3/4 in about 20 KMS. I tend to zero the trip and use it as a better guide. Mind you, mine at 1/4 is nearer empty!!!!!

I guess a fuel dipstick would solve your problem. Harald

I just use a bit of wood, as do most vintage trike owners. Incredibly accurate, I started with an empty tank and filled it with measured amounts and made cut outs to suit in the stick.

Zero the trip, brim tank, refill after 300 miles, note the gauge reading and work out your mpg, thereafter drive on the trip and only use the gauge as a rough guide

Really the M3W is a bit like owning a motorbike.......weather protection etc....but if you ride a bike you tend to get use to relying on the trip rather than a gauge...if you are lucky enough to have one!

If you look at the most recent brochure for the 3 wheeler (page 8) it says 42 litres (~11.1 gallons). http://www.morgan-motor.co.uk/mmc/downlo...ads_preview.pdf

42 litres. So if that bloke in the video posted the other day were correct, that would make almost 11 litres per 100 km, or 9,2 kilometers to the litre.
God, I hope he's hopelessly wrong. I can get a van that's more efficient than that. Fully loaded, even.
Edit: It should be able to do 20 kilometres to the litre, shouldn't it? But, of course, if you waste more than a third of the power in the transmission/drive train, I'd call that rather inefficent and a waste of fuel.
If it did 20 kilometres to the liter (5 litre/100kms, you'd have a great vehicle for travel. Under ten (10 litre/100kms: Not so fantastic.
I hope as hell that the new takers of this thing will show my fears the door and show that it is far more reasonable than the numbers put out so far is telling.
