I wonder what would happen if you would adjust the camber. Maybe it would run on the sidewall of the tires more in the twisty bits, but i'm not certain since the design of the tires is completely different then regular car tyres.

Seeing pictures like aeroman's, I wouldn't be to happy on the nurburgring I think laugh

Thanks Martyn, I have emailed Blockley to see if they can recommend a suitable tyre in their range. I'll post up when I get a reply.

Graham, I worked on the principle that the recommended tyre pressure is 22psi on the front (25psi on the rear), so I thought that a nearly 25% increase should cover it. It seems that my guess was on the low side, I'll ask MMC to find out from Avon what the official recommendation for track-day pressures is?

I'll also ask them about camber changes PJ. But, I think we all have to remember though that despite the Top Gear programme, it is not really a track-day car.

Going from my experiences with a 4/4 and hill climbing, nothing like enough of an increase.

Official pressure at the front of a 72 4/4 is 18 or 19 (can't remember which). That's not enough and I run 22 on the road. Competition, depends a bit on the air temperature, but 28 is the minimum and slightly more than 30 is the maximum.

On a similar basis I'd have thought 30 to 36 for a modern trike would be more like it - let's see what MMC say.

Doesn't make any difference on whether I have wink My point was simply, though it may have sufficient or even excessive power, some people will always want more smile

I'd need more power just to make up for the 50kg deficit you have over me grin2
