I had a Librands roll bar fitted to my new Roadster. BHM checked with the factory and apparently the AR roll bar doesn't fit under an easy up hood. The other advantage of the Librands roll bar is apparently (I haven't tried this) you can unbolt it and use the same frame to bolt on a taller racing roll bar. The roll bar frame stiffens the car nicely.

I have a Librands on my 2002 plus8. Fitted by Williams. Took a day and a half. I have the studded hood and no problems with fit. The mounting frame is not too obtrusive in the rear shelf. Fitted Hillsalive cases may not fit though. I still get the 2 dogs in with no problems! It has stiffened the car a bit too, It comes with a bolt on bar for a 4 point harness and a race spec upper can be bolted in place of the standard.
