All I can add is that the sound is fantastic love both at tick over and on higher revs.

One of the advantages and disadvantages of the single side exit on my previous S2 was that it was quiet as a pussy cat on tickover and only barked when revved. The SS system is far more aggressive/boisterous all round.

Can't comment on the cost though Matt, as both times it was negotiated as part of the procurement process smile

Cheers

I had my S2 converted from rear exit to sidepipes a few years back - that was around 1000gbp and was done by the factory.

My thoughts exactly.......I knew this thread would cost me dear!!! 40th coming up, so I may have to drop my better half some hints, or as I've found in the past the easier route is just to show her the bill, no scrap that, I'll just show her the extra smile on my face grin2

Now where's Mr Bowldwin's No....

Matt be careful of the cost of two burns on SHMBO ankles as opposed to one.

I totally agree and love the sound of Aeros with side pipes; but can someone explain to me why the truly wonderful Ducati 999S with Termignonis that I owned, was classed as having an illegal exhausts, whilst it seems OK to have such things fitted to a car?

I suppose you need to modify the bodywork as well to accomodate the SS exhausts ?

Yep, some extra body work needs to go to accommodate the twin pipes.

I had my S4 done quite a while ago and can't give you an idea of the true cost because the old side exit system had a warranty issue so instead of replacing like for like I had them adapt the car to take the twin exit sport system.

It is easy to tell my car from a distance over other Aero's!

Hi! I'm considering to fit a rear sport exhaust on my S3 in order to get a better sound as I feel my car to be electrically powered!!! Does it worth the expense?
