Hi Gashers,
I live in Germany too,in NRW to be a bit more precise. Been a member of Talk Morgan for one week now,as i´'ll be visiting the Factory in two weeks,to place an order for a +4 too. The problems you had choosing colours must be familiar to most buyers,i guess..although a luxury problem,i might add! What i'm curious about is,how did you solve the registration problem? Will you be driving the car home on a short term German registration,or did you get a British export registration? It seems that both options can be used. Anyway, congratulations with your new toy!
Kind regards, Freddy

Hi Freddy,
I'm driving it back on UK export plates and then registering it here. It is (theoretically) straightforward, but I'll report back later how it went. However, it seems that the process is slightly different in each of the Bundeslände. In Munich I have to take the car to the Zulassungsstelle for official identification. But it seems that in Köln it is possible to do everything in advance. The following is some advice I received from Heinz - I'm sure he won't mind me passing it on...
We can get the German plates for any new car even before we collect the car. All we need is the COC, the invoice and a insurance #. In any case no one needs to examine the car (they do in Bayern!!). The only thing we have to do is provide German translations of the documents (Not needed in Bayern- not even a translation into Bayerisch). This, given in Cologne, will be done in the registration office. I have registered a 3.0 Roadster last year which I bought in the UK from Melvyn Rutter, no problems at all. The only issue was, especially in Cologne, that they don´t want to believe it is really a new car. Keep all correspondents e.g. email that shows your are about to register a NEW car."

Nice first post and congratulations on the new car. The colour combo sounds great to me, but we look forward to seeing the photos? It sounds like the Volvo will be fully loaded by the time you return from your trip, looking forward to your further posts. Brian +1 A warm welcome to Talk Morgan

Gashers, I might have to write you in a month or so during my trip to EU. I've got a day's stay in Munich and would love to link up for a pint and to see this beauty.
...really, seeing Mog's is the ulterior motive of my going overseas. Haven't ever had the chance to see one in the flesh - in 7 years of lusting after them!
The 3 color choice sounds superb - very classical.

Hi Utah,
You are very welcome to visit when you come to Munich- as John +4 said, the region between Munich and the alps is just perfect for Morgans, as are the alps themselves; I think they were created with this in mind.
