My trusty 4/4 has been the basis of some wonderful adventures and marvellous friendships.

The only disadvantage I suffer; is the constant challenge of trying to fit the lovely Lady Budster's luggage in/on the car!

We should start another thread about great drives in America. I understand the "Americana" allure of 66, but may I suggest the Pacific Coastal Highway?

Endless turns, the Pacific over your shoulder, beautiful weather, fantastic food wine and art, charming towns, gearheads galore, auto museums and public collections, racetracks dotted down the coast (Laguna Seca is about "half-way"), and on and on and on...finally, depending on if you go north or south you have Canada or Mexico on your doorstep; then the adventure really begins.

Morgan's are an idiosyncrasy. Modern old cars or old modern cars (some are of course old 'old' cars and that's another part of the beauty in that they have only evolved under the skin, and even then more limited than virtually every other car around). The aero, is even more so and perceived by the Mog community as the 'Johnny come lately'.

Because of all the above, not everyone 'gets' it. It does tend to be that the older you get, the more nostalgia you feel, and thus the fonder of a Morgan you become. Some start earlier than others

When you actually sample and 'feel' one, you realise two things; unlike virtually every other car, the tactility, sensation and general aura of driving a Morgan lets you know in no uncertain terms that this car has soul. The other, is that all of the former is only available because of how it's built and it's tenacious grasp of history and an era of great motoring experiences now gone by.

It also tells you pretty immediately that you will forgive its foibles (an English word meaning that 'things will go wrong occasionally') and you will do so because you just know that to have such a car in this day and age it can only be provided by a smaller manufacturer, building for a specific smaller market who will never have the research testing or marketing budget of a large car producing conglomerate; and nor would you want them to as otherwise you'd be driving a Golf Cabrio

That's as close as I can get in words so if that appeals, or rings a bell, go for it!!

If you are looking for a fact based decision you came to the wrong question, never mind answer.

You don't select a wife/partner/pet against a chart (do you?) You need to fall in love. Think of it as foreplay. You know you want it.

I have a roadster and a mini convertible. The mini is a great car and just as open as the Morgan when the top is down. It handles well and is great fun to drive.
I REALLY like it.
But,
I LOVE the Morgan.
That's the good and the bad of it!
Buy one before you get old and sensible.

Was also early 30s when I bought the first.
Age is irrelevant, all I can say is watch out - because they are addictive!
Nothing else has the fun factor, prestige of craftsmanship and individuality of a Morgan. I can guarantee you will get hooked...
