Hmmm.....not an easy one to answer. I've always had mohair hoods on my previous cars and my 4/4 is the first I've had with the Everflex (which incidentally I see Morgan now describe as PVC in their latest price list...which is a bit misleading as PVC sounds very plasticy! ). Certainly the Everflex material is very waterproof although a hood is only as good as the quality of its seams and how it fits to the car. Everflex is also easier to keep clean compared to Mohair. It is also less bulky not being a three ply material like Mohair. That has some advantages in that things like tonneau covers fold away a bit smaller but the thinner material means a noisier hood in my opinion.

Putting my money where my mouth is...my car is off to Allon Whites in two days time to have the trad Everflex hood replaced by their equivalent of the mohair Easyup hood! Much that I like the style of the traditional 9 stud hood, the ease of erecting the new hood has just been too tempting plus the worry about screen cracking with the 9 stud windscreen. And I think mohair looks pretty good!

I am keeping my Everflex tonneau ( suitably modified by A.W) though as it will store away easier.

I'd like to keep this tonneau topic going for more input. Us Morgan nubies have no idea what the difference between the PVC and mohair choices boil down to, other than price and weighty decisions are imminent. I know it has been touched on already but would appreciate more input, photos too!

One question is looks, is there a major aesthetic difference, if so comments/ pictures?

Another is practicality, How quick and easy to install. How well it stores in the vehicle. Has anyone tried to pack their tonneau in 3w yet?

In my continuing search for the perfect colour/trim combination (now set back by seeing Ivan's sand/ tan combo) I keep thinking about the Super Dry.

As far as I know, this is a real special edition, available for people to buy (it's on the pricelist). On Morgan's website is says a limited edition of 200 cars... which seems quite a lot compared to the original annual production plan for the M3W.

What I particularly like are the colour (matt silver, riveted panels), the distressed leather, and especially the orange wall tyres.

Incidentally, in some pictures the wheels have Superdry written on them, in others they don't. If you go to MMC's website ( http://www.morgan3wheeler.co.uk/superdryedition.html ) and click on Superdry edition, the top picture has them, then ones below don't. Is the Superdry lettering painted onto the tyres?

What I don't like is "SuperDry JPN" (on the tyres and the body) and the Japanese lettering.

Do you think Morgan would be open to the idea of ordering a Superdry but without the lettering? Has anyone seen one in the flesh? Or know anyone who has ordered one? If they are going to build 200, there should be some around somewhere?

I have a black mohair tonneau cover, but it hasn't been used yet.
I think it looks better than the everflex.
I have ordered a zip up PVC storage bag for mine, from a local sewing shop. I intend to store it in the boot. I have the tyre repair kit stored in the front compartment zip tied to the battery tray.

This was at Silverstone last year.

If it is aesthetics of the super dry edition that you like, it would probably be much easier and cheaper to order a regular sport 3 wheeler with a custom silver paint, color matched painted cowl, hood strap and decals (as wanted) then order new wheels with (or paint) your sidewalls, add a white vinyl stripe along the bottom and you are all set.

Any idea what type of paint you would use for the tyres?

They make paint specifically for painting your sidewalls. You would have to do a white sidewall, then go over the white with orange.
