I don't see that and anyway it should be safety glass & fail into crazed pattern all over. Looks like stress to me.
IMHO this is a design fault. No, it's laminated. The safety glass you're thinking of wouldn't crack it would shatter.

IMHO this is a design fault. Look at the crack in the first pic where it runs across one of the sticky pads securing the tax disc holder. I'm not qualified to analyse the cause of a cracked screen but no one is going to replace it FOC if there is evidence of impact damage

I can see what you mean, but it could just be the adhesive on the mounting pad for the tax disc holder which is refracting through.

Looks like glue from the tax disc holder, if you follow the "outer edge" (left in photo) it does not show any obvious impact damage.

Could be glue, could be a whack, but if comes down to possible warranty claim you can be sure someone will have it under bright lights with a big magnifying glass

This picture was taken some time after the crack had appeared .it started at the top of the screen and gradually worked its way down over a few weeks.I could not find any Impact marks on the glass. The creamy deposit developed as water got in to the laminate over time . I left it for a couple of months wile trying to get the factory to accept responsibility under warranty ..but no luck.. I claimed off my insurance in the end.

I've recently noticed that my screen has an ID number in the lower offside corner. It's a small sticker and says I.D.No 041477. Presumably this is so that the supplier can monitor numbers produced/delivered and maybe for warranty claims. The font is very small.

Had the same problem. Windscreen cracked in the garage overnight. Absolutely no problem having it replaced by Ledgerwoods under warranty. Since then one year and 3000 miles without a further problem Only problem was getting the rear view mirror to stick on but local Autoglass did it for free as it was such a pleasure for them to work on a Morgan! I noticed on my visit to the factory today that all the traditional hooded models now have the Easyup style cast alloy windscreen supports instead of the stainless sports which are bolted to a separate base. Not sure if this is to stiffen up the screen and prevent cracking or a cost saving as the standard hood is now an Easyup.

It makes sense to standardise, and those uprights are supremely elegant (IMO).
