Spot on Ken

Of course I have more to say esp. as would genuinely not want to lose Lornes contributions but I will respect Simons request.

Cheers

BtG

It seems a pity you are prevented from expressing yourself further when you did not intend to offend. Having said that, unless you have an inordinate amount of spare time and can talk the back legs off a donkey, a strategic withdrawal is probably in your best interests.

Ken,

this has nothing to do with me 'preventing' Andy from "expressing" himself further.

As I stated earlier, the topic of this thread is about MMC's decision to change their logo and not further discussion between GoMog (Lorne) and Boshly (Andy) regarding the semantics of their words and any offence taken, and subsequently apologised for.

Talk Morgan runs in a very free and open manner and therefore when I ask for a thread to be kept on topic (a) it is rare and (b) I have good reason to do so.

I always explain to people why I delete their threads or move them BUT on this occasion, if I delete anyones comments from this thread, it will be because they have strayed from topic and into a conversation that should be kept on PM between two members of this forum. I will not waste time to inform them and I will not comment further on this matter.

I trust that is respected.

This site is non-profit, funded by myself and takes considerable amounts of my time; if I am unwilling to allow discussions to become petty squabbles I believe I have grounds to stop them for the benefit of the entire member base.

Simon

Let me say in mitigation, that TM is the freest Morgan site that I know of and that we all post robust opinions at times, but IMHO without rancour.

I hope that the issue can be resolved amicably (off-site) as there would be no doubt that none of us want to lose Lorne's valuable input; even if I do not always agree with some of his views, as I know he does not agree with some of mine. ;-)) [Sorry no proper smilies on my PDA]

Life would be very boring if we did not hold some disparate views at times. Anyway Simon, please do not delete me for being off-topic (oops!) and for me, and I am sure the rest of the gang, please carry on running the site exactly as it is, a sometimes rumbustious site where we can express our views and agree to disagree if necessary; as Morgan enthusiasts and gentlemen.

Cheers Guys

Brian

... and back to the topic in hand. This has just been posted on the MMC website at http://www.morgan-motor.co.uk/new_wings/wings1.pdf

NEW MORGAN WINGS

We are delighted to share with you the new Morgan Wings.
This evolution is a combination of the existing Wings, the version of the Wings found on the front of our cars
and an update to make it more contemporary.
This change has not been taken lightly and has been given the thorough blessing of the Morgan family, Board
of Directors and Morgan Management Team.
For some time we have felt that the look and feel of the Morgan Motor Company logo has not done justice to
our unique combination of traditional skills yet thoroughly modern approach to design and production in
today’s challenging world. We are very proud of our past achievements but must also look forward to the
future.
Our merchandise and general signage will boast the new logo which will gradually be implemented over the
coming months.
To extend the new look beyond the badge, we will also shortly be introducing a more comprehensive and
cohesive range of car brochures and new look website design.

Wonders never cease, they are going to update the web site - something that looks like it was designed 10-years ago and actually does need an overhaul! smirk2 grin2

I'm now back in the Land of a reasonably fast 'Dial - Up' service, unlike rural France. I'm therefore able to catch up on developments on this thread.

Everything has been said, that can be said on the subject. My last comments:-

End of the line for the 4/4 Model ? Streamlining of 'range' and better 'margins' on a 2000cc 'Morgan' used to be known as a +4...........

What's to go next the 'Aero' name; always associated with Three Wheelers since the 1920s'. BMW might like to use the 'Isetta' name instead!

Regards

Camelman

Had a look today and found that all inforamtion on the Roadster is old. They mention the old colours, they mention ICI etc...
Difficult to understand.

Hello scared

You boys really are getting bent out of shape over a set of wings. A fine looking lady I could understand but a badge on a set of wheels doh

You all need to get out more laugh2

New wings don't bother me. Less traditional but they are not exactly radical enough to worry.

Michael
