Checking around my '64+4 w/TR4 motor, noticed the fulcrum pin on fuel pump had wormed way almost out of it's hole. tapped it back. anyone have this issue and is there a cure? If it comes out there is no gas and you know where that leads...
There are/were two types of plump configurations: One had a pin with snap-ring retainers and the other just had the pin retained by staking the diecast housing with a punch. Just take a sharp punch and and upset some of the metal around the end of the pin and everything will be fine. There are no strong axial forces on the pin so it doesn't take much to hold it in.
