Is the steering wheel too small?

If your car doesn't have the bearings at the base of the main springs, fit the Mulberry kit -- it will transform the heaviness of the steering. Much cheaper than fitting power steering!!!

Cheers

Borghi Automobili in Milan have a servo steering conversion. I don't know if they developed it or if it came from somewhere else. I also don't know if they sell it as a "kit" or only fitted. They are very nice and speak good English Phone: ++ 39 02 474051 Or you could go to their web site and email them.

Allon White in Cranfield had a Plus 4 in stock a few weeks ago with power steering fitted...a very neat job.

Richard Thorne's electric conversion is brilliant. And he can adjust how gradually you loose the assistance so it can be light for parking but virtually gone by 20mph. Transforms the car; brings your attention away from lugging the steering wheel to the back wheels where you can suddenly feel what's going on. Makes a heavy car feel like a light, nimble 4/4.

....or you could just buy a 4/4 in the first place. (Oh all right, I admit it, I'm biased).
