Greasing the front suspension on the latest Morgans is easy-peasy. Our local Morgan dealer runs a maintenance workshop for owners which covers general aspects of looking after your Morgan. It's worth seeing if your dealer runs something similar. Failing that ask if one of the mechanics can show you how it's done - you'll be surprised how easy it is.
So dither-no-longer and go seal the deal..... you won't regret it.

Agree with everything that has been said here, greasing the front is trivial (Even for me, who was initially confused by the term "screwdriver" until I realised that that is the alternative name for a paint tin opener) Excellent Brian! Percy - do it dude! You know you want to!

OK the site has a certain element of bias - but have you got the gist yet?

Welcome to Morganworld! Do some research on the internet. There's plenty of Morgan stuff out there. One site to note is www.gomog.comThe maintenance section there covers a wide range of issues and makes good reading to gain some background to your car. I agree with comment about contact with a local dealer and learning from them. being able to work on your Mog adds to the ownership experience.

Gomog is great resource but the member's on here "colour it in" and make the text usable. Talk Morgan members are a great source of support and a fountain of knowledge. A community like no other.....

Dear Sir Percival
1) Don't believe everything you read on the internet. 2)Ask yourself why most Morgan owners keep their car much, much longer than any other car (I have mine now for 45 years!). 3) Morgan cars are by far not as fragile as some owners believe. The front suspension may be the weakest point but it will not fail instantly if you don't keep always to the book - my car has 130 000 mls and the suspension is on the third set of sliders and the second set of kingpins.

Sir Percival lets look at the other end of the spectrum, most people on here are at least DIY minded and think because it is easy for them it will be easy for you, but there are an awful lot of people out there that have never looked at the underside of a vehicle never mind under a Morgan.
However what i would say is do not be frightened to buy a Morgan, your local reputable Garage will grease a car in under 1 hour, so even if they charge 1 hours labour @ £25-30 every few months its not a lot. I think you will find that most parts that require Grease are ware and tear items that are not (in the main) covered under warrenty. GO BUY IT

Wow. What a response. I should point out that as well as never having owned a Morgan I have never written on one of these forum thingys before.
The speed which you chaps have replied and the obvious enthusiasm shown towards the cars is amazing. I suppose there is nothing else for it, break out the cocoa were going in!
Joking apart, thank you all very much indeed for your help and support. I will keep you posted on the outcome.
Sir Percival
