The Phoenix Design have both a smal cockpit cover and a lager storm cover that also cover the bonnet.

I guess the main point is to cover the cockpit. Is there any good reasons to go for the lager storm cover?

If you have a Plus 4 with the 2 litre Duratec engine the larger storm cover is a the better option as it will keep water out of the engine compartment.
The 2 litre Duratec does not have a cover over the spark plugs, and are therefore unprotected from driving rain water.

The car has a Rover T16 engine - but it may be a point to cover the engine compartment anyway?

I have the John Taylor and Librands.....Librands came with the car and I had The other already.
Both are great, Librands is just cockpit/screen and John Taylor covers the whole bonnet so prevents louvre ingress.
I prefer the John Taylor due to this, especially for overnight.
Librands is sometimes used as a temporary short spell cover as it's easier to repack afterwards, and was used a lot when I couldn't use my tonneau until it was re trimmed to fit round the roll bar.
I have used an umbrella a couple of times....stuck at traffic lights when a downpour suddenly came down...it drew some smiles from passers by! umbrella

I have the Phoenix Design cover and have to say its been great

So easy to put on - I keep it in the car all the time and just put it on when parked up and it looks like it might rain. it's so much easier than putting the hood up or putting the tonneau over plus it keeps the engine bay dry if really heavy showers

John makes to order very quickly and can allow for side screens on or off or whether you have wind deflectors etc.

Can certainly recommend John Taylor and his Phoenix designs

I have his mirrors as well - really good value and work a treat

Same with the 4/4 silver top Zetecs - my spark plugs were rusted when I bought it and they'd only been in a year

I am also looking for a cover.
I see, that a lot of you prefer the Phoenix Design covers.

I need a cover only for some days in the year (to cover the cockpit wenn we are shopping for some minutes or for some verry stormy night on trips to Danmark or Norway.)
I have the 1,8 Duratec with the sealed sparkplugs.

My questions: Is the smal cockpit cover ok for this duty? What about fixing the small cover on his front? There are no straps or so??
And: Can I use the smal Cover with Sidescreens on and roof down??

Thank you for any answer.
Bernd
