Inspired by my day out with the Three Wheeler, I've had another day out today on a two wheeler! A 1930's style Pashley Guvnor bicycle
Mog Mag did an article on Pashley in their first edition and their Guvnor bike sort of caught my imagination. I didn't think anything more about it until a couple of weeks ago when I was at the factory and saw a bike there by Sales on a stand...very retro racer which apparently Charles had taken a fancy to. It looked very like the Pashley Clubman and I was wondering if he was going to do a hook up with them as they are a classic old bike manufacturer from the 1920's.
I thought that the Guvnor being a copy of their 30's racer might look rather nice in the garage with my Morgan! The test ride today down at Stratford was rather pleasant ...it really feels quite vintage and as a bonus I see that there is quite a following of this model with a busy forum where they call everyone "chaps" and discuss things like old fashioned leather cycling shoes!
Once I've finished spending money on the car I might take the plunge!
