Down to 3 . +8 with carbs non cat. Red. JAG MK2 Dark Green. M.B. 280SL light Blue. in that order This really is a subject that could cause a lot of interesting discussions over a or two . But I think some of you make it easy for yourself chosing as many as 10 Try, as Simon, to just pick 5...or 3 or even just one...then it starts to be tricky (I am still working on my list )

Mmmmh, difficult. My ideas: 1. A Series Land Rover. What else? 2. A proper getaway film-car (Steve McQueens Mustang Fastback, Plymouth Cuda, Blues Brother's police car...) For the cool moments in life! 3. A Lada Taiga to destroy in the woods. Great fun!

Another icon that fits into the 'must own once' is a Jeep. Whether a vintage Willys or a new Wrangler, there is something iconic about that soft top 4WD vehicle.

No 'real' LR counts as a car Richard! Dual purpose vehicle, yes (until the muppets in power did away with that designation). The 101 is actually not that big - tall yes, but shorter than a 110... And smaller than the original Series FC models. The Europa - nearly bought one back in the early 80s. Will see if I can scan the photo. Car far more capable than me, probably now, certainly back in the early 80s Cheers,

I walked past a black Europa that was parked up in Le Touquet 10 days ago, it didn't half look low and lean.

That's cheating, you've just been through the Observers Book of Automobiles and ticked something off every other page why restrict yourself? I've done over half of the list already, hopefully still a few years to tick the rest off. You see, mines a genuine list now, does anyone knw where I can get a really nice clean 1974 peugeot 404, or a 1976 504 GL
Cheers
