Folks, By the end of last year I had my Discovery 3 sold and found myself in the extremely unpleasant and unfamiliar situation of having no Land Rover in my shed. But as of Saturday, I found a decent replacement, although not as rugged as the old one. My new (used) Range Rover has arrived. I managed to get one of the Bournville models. Fantastic car. I love it. Andreas

Just swapped my old Landie for a new Puma Defender. The thing is almost civilised. I love it. As seems to be the case with most Defenders there is a Morgan connection. I "think" it has the same gearbox as the AeroTrad. (Although I rather hope I'm wrong as the LR version is not very good)

Easy tiger I still have my Defender TD5 its been chipped and the gearbox rations have been sorted with professionally installed sound proofing and she's as good as any new defender maybe not a refined but I love my old girl and have no intention of upgrading.
Your spot on with the Morgan connection I run a series 3 Aero 8

As I live very close to Bournville I naturally think that's the best model! In all seriousness though they are a lovely spec.

There are so many Mog owners who also have Landies that I think it's probably mandatory, isn't it?
We have a Defender TD5 Hardtop for the tough/dirty stuff and a Freelander for the motorway commutes. I'd happily have a Puma Defender instead of the FL but I rather think that the diesel consumption on the 80mph commute down to Exeter might get a bit scary. At least with the FL I can get 36mpg...

I have a Tdci Defender and 2 LR Series Ones plus a 69 4/4. I think the connection is - hand built, seperate chassis firm ride alloy panels draughty (the old ones) and British (well LR was once).
Mind you I also have D3 which is total luxury on wheels

I'd say the list of things you can't do that in is almost endless. Great post.
