Have now received confirmation from Uncle Melvyn that my problem with starting 'Arian' on a incline is not due to 'Driver Error'; they have managed to replicate the problem without going to France.
Problem has been refered to MMC who say they have not experienced the problem before. Further information will follow when available.

Will wait with interest to hear, glad that things are progressing satisfactorily.
And please don’t take our picture of the two ‘tadpoles’ in the car as a challenge to keep upping the ante on how many young French persons it is possible to get in the front of a ‘Trad’!

Paul, Since I left France, our 'Maire' has already been round to the house to enquire whether 'Arian' can 'partner' the Pony and Cart Rides at the next Commune Fete.
Need to Check Out the insurance position before I next show my face in the village. M. le Maire should be able to find his way around the little matter of children in the front seat of a Mog.

Yes, and you'll have to explain the difference between the handbrake on a Mog and an Impreza / GTi - sorry, thinking about UK kids!

After 15 simulated Hill Starts, we appear to have an answer to the problem of not starting on an incline; or do we?
Two Washers under the Transponder Receiver! For my money, the gap between the two points is the the same whether it is on the flat, or on an incline. If it works in the first position, it must work in the second if 'spaceing' was the only problem!
Anybody got any thoughts on the subject. Rod has has already solved my 'wet knees' syndrome.

Your thoughts on the problem mirror my own Simon. I think an 'air lock' is being created when parked on a incline.
