I made a modification on the aft side of the doorframe on Tango.This because the paint started to get wear marks from stepping into the car.Also the fiberglass retainer were the doorseal is fitted on started to crack,right into the corner.
The protection plate is made of 0.9 mm stainless steel sheet that had already one polished side.
I bend a 90 degr lip on the top and the bottow to support the seal.
I am not 100% happy yet,but not far off!

Very nice. Anybody who has worked stainless will know how difficult it is to cut, shape and drill, so that is a work of art.

I can't believe how poor the original strip is.........
