the auto gearbox on my wife's Smart roadster. 5 second wait before a connection is made. Pity since the rest of the car is excellent.

4/4 rear lever arm dampers - the casing does not leave enough room for good spanner fit.
One came a bit loose.
Trouble is the damper housing gets in the way of an open ended spanner and ring spanners were too fat to fit over the nut. I ended up grinding back an old ring spanner to make it thin enough to fit but not too thin to split.
GGGGRRRRR!!!
The spanner is now a permanent fixture in my toolroll just in case....

For me the frustrating wait whilst the autobox on my Mercedes responds to the instruction to change from forward to reverse or vice-versa.

If you are executing a U-turn in traffic (it is a large car despite its good turning circle) it seems to take forever to make the transition. My VW was a lot faster in making the change.

Its not 1 - pause - 2, its is more like 1 - - - - pause - - - - 2
getting in and out of parking spaces must put my blood pressure up a couple of notches.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Sprite Mk1 bug-eye , bonnet hinges - ended up replacing.

Mini early – already been said – distributor behind front grill so got a soaking each time it was wet. Floor starter button awkward to get to and fix

We have a Smart in the Family, my daughter drives it, i know what you mean, i when driving it tend to just release the pressure of the throttle a little to let the gear change, i find it is better to use manual mode when the Car is first started from cold for app the first 2-3 miles then flick into Auto Mode, see if that helps.
