Mr Mog says oil but I use copper slip. Easy on with a decicated paint brush both top & bottom side after checking the shims for wear. I keep thinking there is a bishop and actress joke in this somewhere.

My gun has a knurled screwed cover on the end. I am unsure what the function is. Should this be undone and then placed over the nipple and then tightened? I must admit that I never feel confident that my greasing is effective. This knurled end holds the jaws that grip the nipple and should be tight. A good gun will sometimes be difficult to get off the nipple because the jaws hold so tight, it certainly shouldn't need holding on. To get it off just move out of line and this should release it.

I keep thinking there is a bishop and actress joke in this somewhere. I use copper slip as well, but never thought of a paint brush. I use workshop rubber gloves! Now there MUST be a joke there! That kit looks great! Found it on the site (link: remote greasing ), but there are two versions: NS9000MOG. For bearings with inlet thread: 1/4"unf, 1/4"bsf, & M6x1 NS9024MOG. For bearings with inlet thread: 1/8"bsp Anyone know which kit/inlet tread fits a 2011 plus4 sport? My Roadster is 2009 so yours should need the same two kits NS9000MOG - M6/UNF/BSF NS9024MOG - 1/8 BSP I also bought M6 Nuts & Bolts from westfield fasteners. In the kit they supplied the bolts but no nuts & washers so I bought complete sets which I used (for fixing the block to the wing bulkheads) Frank
