Posting on here to keep the 'Hot Line' open for Brian and further developments.
Any guesses what Brian could be on about? 'MOGWIRE' has disclosed that CM drove down to St. Tropez in a AERO 8 'Automatic'; could that be the car he is going to order on his return ? For someone with Brians electic taste in cars - from an Aero to a Maserati with a Smart Car in between, it could be just about anything!

No. Brian mentioned CM's car. He is talking about a car he doesn't want to mention (or the other way round?). I guess it is an Aero 8 with a different and more powerful engine (like the V 10). Roderich

Before the message was edited, it spoke about an automatic 4.8 that was driven down there. I guess only a few of us saw it before it was swiftly edited!

The Aero 8 Automatic with the 4.8is engine is a given and wouldn't be news at all.
This has been spoken about for the past 6-months or so; although imho, an automatic Aero would negate so much of what makes the car special in the first instance. Nevertheless, the belief seems to be that an auto-box will make it sell better in NA and other foreign markets.

The +8 'SnobMog' was a one - off for PM's wife Jane, the clutch was too heavy for her to operate.

Roderich I am sure it is to try to excite some more sales. It has been said that the mod is for the US, but the US Aero compliancy exemption runs out early next year there... Roderich..I believe one of the first dealer demos will be going to Flaving. Lorne
