The list price is for a standard car with seats that do not recline and plastic type interior.
The cars the dealer specs will have extras, like leather and reclining sports seats say £1,500 to £2,000 plus a radio is extra as is a clock etc etc.

Everyone will have a favourite dealer. My first four Morgan's were supplied by Phil Ledgerwood - what more can I say!

If you are near to Wales, I have found Peter Constable at Newtown Motors Cwmbran very easy to deal with and has also been very attentive as a customer since I bought my car
No connection, just a very happy customer!!

Thank you again for the replies, I do not think that I was clear in the second part of my question.
I really was asking about a specific case where I have seen dealers advertising a new car with only delivery milage which I guess he has ordered some time ago with no specific customer in mind.
In such cases are they usually priced as the Morgan price list for the base car and any options that have been added or are these cars more expensive, that is priced at a premium because you are bypassing the waiting list. If I understood all the options and all fitted appeared in the ads then I am sure I could just add up the prices and get my answer but I am afraid my understanding of the options is not quite there yet.

You will have a problem comparing prices as the Morgan advertised price on their list is not an on the road price.
Further the extras advised by the dealer may not be exactly the same as you see on the Morgan price list. There are extras available that are quoted when asked for by dealers / customers that are not on the official list as they are a bit of a one off.
I have found when I asked that the price did not have a premium on but the cost of delivery and taxes plus factory options and dealer options like wing mirrors start getting far too high above the Morgan List price.

I haven't noticed any premium over list on cars in stock. The base price is not always straight forward to deduce because you need to know list price when car was delivered and also the standard spec at that time. Then there are factory options, factory fit accessories and dealer fit accessories and a car could have a combination of all three. For instance Leather is now standard on all cars in black or saddle but until recently it was an option except on Sports models where saddle leather was the only trim available until MMC also added black as an alternative..........

If new is what you want, you should at least speak to your nearest dealer and see what the price and delivery outlook is for your dream specification. You may be pleasantly surprised. If not, at least you will have a better understanding of the price structures around dealer stock.

I noticed earlier that Strattton, in Norfolk have had a red plus4sport for a while and their piston heads ad says they have new stock coming, so there might be a deal there, I think they have a 2011 4/4sport as well
