I'm thinking along the same lines. I'll let you know what, if anything, Uncle Melvyn finds.

What! No steam? What's wrong with the man!

I'm taking my engine to the Long Melford rally, run by the Farm Machinery Preservation Society. You've never seen so many tractors & stationary engines!

Mean while, back at the Roadster, I noticed a sleeve around the ignition lock, which I think has wires attached. Would this be the key sensor? If so, should it be fixed, as this is free to rotate & slide.

I think so. The sensor on motorcycle systems that I am famiiar with is a ring. Mormally it is fixed.

Not yet frown It's been with the dealer since last week & has started perfectly every time irked Sod's Law in action. I'll collect it tomorrow & see how long it takes me to break it again...

I still have my doubts about that sensor on the ignition switch, but the factory say that it just kills the ignition but still allows it to crank. Oh well. I'll just make sure I've got my Morgan Rescue card with me at all times...

I have thought on and off over the past week what the problem could be.... And failed.

Clutch switch? Earth to starter motor? Immobiliser? Is there a single fuse to the starter motor?

Thank God it's not sunny. That would be unbearable.
