Well I don't know about the rest of you, but I find nothing more annoying than a locking petrol cap.. especially one where you can't take the key out after you unlock it and then you open it and the key grinds itself into the paintwork. Welcome to another Morgan quirk! Anyhow, having suffered the indignity of drawing up at a petrol station only to find I had taken the spare set of keys (the ones without the Petrol Key) I returned home (just) and set about examining this ridiculous device. Armed with a draw-full of about 5000 collected keys - some from my South African Grandfather - I eventually found a key that unlocked the lock and hey-presto I took the key out with the cap permanently in the unlocked position! Yes! Free from the Tyranny of the Locking Petrol Cap at last! By the way, it's winter in Devon in case anyone is thinking of driving here.. and you might need a fourth windscreen wiper...

A fourth wiper?? I thought a boat or submarine might be more suitable after watching the news/weather earlier!
As for the petrol cap, mine has no locking facility (at least not on the Morgan!).

What a difference 10 days makes ! I'm in Southwold tonight having battled through torrential rain all the way up here from Paris - a far cry from our glorious sun drenched trip over here in the Mog on the last weekend in May

Must say that I find it a bit ridiculous in this day and age that you need a seperate key for everything on a Morgan. It should be possible to have door locks and filler cap locks made to match the ignition key.

Surely the whole point of a Morgan is that it isn't from this day and age

A fourth wiper?? As for the petrol cap, mine has no locking facility (at least not on the Morgan!). Mine came with a third party fuel cap that I've just replaced with a genuine one (so to speak) that is none locking. For our vintage Graham you can not get a locking one (from "Uncle Melyvn" at least). If you have an newer car I recall that you have options.....
