Sport Sand is based on the 60's and 70's VW beige paint (often seen on early Beetles or VW Camper Vans).

Ivory is just that, a cream white, rather than a beige.

I'm hoping to be able to get to BHM at the end of the week and maybe they'll have both colours to look at and compare.

Morgan's look good in most colours, red is fabulous, the deep burgundy colour is great too. But it's the Ivory/Sand colour that I find most attractive.... But I wouldn't want a colour that's too white. Tan or red leather.

It's not easy.

As with most colours you need to see them in the flesh to decide. Sport Sand is one of those colours that does not photograph well. I have seen one in the wild and I liked it and thought it had quite a 50’s flavour - but personally I prefer Ivory (and I prefer black or dark blue to Ivory - it’s all subjective and a highly personal choice). The reason I prefer dark colours is you get the sunlight glinting on the long louvred bonnet in a dark car. I love Sport Grey as well.

I have to say that whilst I have my preferences I have yet to see a colour I really dislike on a Morgan (except pink Sport Orange).

Wow. Yep. Love that. Love that a lot.

Quicksilver, I know exactly what you mean about darker colours showing off the curves and lines..... A well waxed burgundy (or any dark) Morgan is a thing of beauty. But I do like Morgans in the Ivory/Sand colours. Delicious.

Sand or Ivory is a tricky choice!

Well, photos do for sure do not make Sand look as good as it is in reality. If I understood it correct: Sports white and Sports Ivory are the same colour and now called Sports White by the factory. Royal Ivory is not the same (but close) it is even a little bit more yellowish/cream.

Check out the photo below, it will probably not help...but shows how difficult they are to photograph. The one at the top is taken with flash and the lower ones without. Showing Sports White/Sand and Teal, the small piece of leather is Tan/Saddle Brown.

1560 mentioned that Ivory is for girls...well the red/green phase is a period in your life that you just have to go through until you become enlightened hide

A colour like Sports White will never look as "deep" as a darker colour when waxed but has a lot of other advantages...

Red leather will probably go with the Ivory better than Sand.
Tan leather will work great with either colour providing there is a reasonable tonal difference between Sand and the Tan.

To match the red leather with the Sand it would take much more careful matching up of sample colours in order to get the combination to work well.

Basically what I am trying to say is that the Ivory is a more versatile colour and go's better with other colours than the Sand because it is a bit more neutral and fresher.

One thing I can also add from experience, is that Ivory doesn't show the dirt as much as other colours.
