I checked the clutch switch while it was refusing to start, by putting a meter across the switch terminals. The switch worked perfectly every time, but the car still refused to start when I re-connected it. It may still be the problem. Next time, I'll short it out to prove it once & for all.
Earth to starter? I'd expect to hear at least a relay operating.
Immobiliser? The factory says it still allows it to crank.
Fuse? No idea! I've got no info on the electrics or the engine ( the handbook still refers to the 3L model.

I had a problem with a brake switch recently on an agricultural thing (!). The switch worked fine, however the plunger was not being pulled out far enough to make an adequate connection. I have no idea of the type of switch on the Morgan clutch, in other words, is it (the switch) pressed in to make contact, or pulled out?

I'm probably barking up entirely the wrong tree!

It's probably a diaphragm switch. Oil pressure presses against the back of the diaphragm which presses against the moving contact, which in turn is pressed against the fixed contact. It is working 'cause the meter showed the circuit making & breaking ( you can't see any moving parts on the switch)

Got the car back from the dealers. Since the beast worked perfectly while it was there, they couldn't find any problem
But at least I,ve got a circuit diagram of the starter circuit, so I stand a fighting chance of pinning it down...

Tried it this morning. Didn't start
Linked out the clutch pressure switch. Started straight away, so may be on to something ( or it may just be coincidence )

It's the switch. Yay! (Sort of).

Is the clutch switch simply to prevent starting in gear?

I once bumped into the back of a police car when an automatic started whilst in drive. Faulty switch. Fortunately no damage (or fine) but a lot of embarrassment.

I've never got into the habit of leaving a manual car in park, I know it's good practice, but I've never done it.

If the switch on the clutch is purely a 'courtesy' thing to prevent starting in gear, I guess it can be wired out until a replacement can be fitted under warranty.
