Hello all, If I drove my MOG everyday I do not think I would have a special feeling. Everytime I buy a new everydaycar I love to drive it but after a few months I am not aware of what car I am driving. For me, driving my Morgan, will be for joy and I think I miss that if I use it as a ordinary car. Ken in Sweden After driving My Mog for 22 consecutive days 5017 miles Around Britains Coast Roads in April, I will never forget what a special car it is to drive . For the first week at home I found it quite difficult to drive our other two cars. Too Sloppy, Too Big, Too Much Steering to do, Lack of Fresh Air . No. I would take the Mog any day but SWMBO would not agree to that.

If I had known the reaction of the fairer sex to a Morgan when I was younger I would have bought one years ago. Having said that I am happy I did not and so ended up married and happy now.
Life is nothing without the backbone to follow up on your desires and accept a little compromise as a result. I drove a Porsche 968 Club Sport as a company car for 3 years. Nuts - but so great.
Do it.
Worst case you find it is not practical but you will have had great fun doing it. Will you have a problem selling it on? Will you loose your shirt on it like you would almost every other car?
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I have been running my '88 4 seater as a daily driver for the last (nearly) 3 years. For a year of that I had a weekly commute from the West Midlands to East kent. For 6 weeks one winter it was the only car in our household as my wife's jeep got dinged and was off the road. I have covered just over 30k miles in three years and barring a few issues due to the age of some rubber components early in my ownership I cant say I have suffered any issues.
Using it all the time hasn't diminished the special thing, in fact I think it is even more enjoyable.

Thanks to all who replied.
I sold my last morgan in 1986.
Once current house sold and the money shared between me and ex then...
I will retain my aging Freelander for a while, acquire a Morgan and see how I go using it as a number 1 car.
Interested in why alloys on a Roadster are better?
cheers

They're lighter. Less unsprung weight=good! Also, in my opinion, the heavy stainless wires ( & they are heavy!) hung on a fairly light chassis & suspension system adds up to poorer road holding, with the wheels having more control than the suspension. But I'm sure someone with much more knowledge of such things will tell you the real reason Ian

Also easier to get alloys properly true as they are cast.
And there are no spokes to loosen/snap.
ANd the tyres stay at correct pressures!
