None of the early ones had ostrich skin interior!... Nick, I don't think it is fair to blame the car, or the engineer-owner of the company, for the choices some customers make in their specification of the car. Whilst I agree that colour combinations/trim materials are a matter of taste and therefore, a personal opinion, I wouldn't expect Pagani, or any car company (MMC included) who offer bespoke products, to turn away a customer because they choose an interior material, exterior colour, etc, that was not the norm. I remember when buying an Aston being shown a Vanquish with a bright red interior - a vivid red that was everywhere, carpets, roof lining, the lot. 'Good God!' I said to the salesman when I opened the door. 'Yes sir' he said 'it is rather 'sudden' isn't it?'

The engineering on that car is second to none (as it should be for the price!) and I simply don't see a single element of it as tacky.
I was going to take issue with your comment but on re-reading I note you say second to none as opposed to 'the best' as I read it first Reality is, and I can verify or otherwise after our Zonda factory visit in September, the Bugatti Factory in Mulhouse outshines what you have seen here, and IMHO appears to do so in Engineering and engineering detail. I will reserve final judgement though. On the other subject matter, the EB110 that we saw recently, we must add the fact that it was a Dauer EB110 and not a Bugatti that we saw, though I accept the tub I would guess was one of the parts 'rescued' from the Bugatti factory? Lastly, as has been said by others, what makes a Supercar stand out? It has to be engineering excellence and in your face styling otherwise a simply fast Noble/TVR/Corvette etc would be in the club and then (good/fast as they may be) the 'magic' just wouldn't be there. And 'in your face' styling, Zonda do by the bucketload; and they do it beautifully (IMO) as opposed to say Spyker (nearly and acceptable) Koenigsegg (bland) and Bugatti (really not sure now). If you want to see the difference that special engineering solutions and bespoke parts make to a car, just look at the difference between a standard F430 Spider and a Scuderia Spider 16M, (yes I'm biased and still buzzing ) CF everywhere, titanium suspension components, E-diff, uprated suspension, uprated power (not sure what's different), uprated F1 gearbox that changes cogs in 65 milliseconds .... Etc Not saying the 16M is a Supercar or comparable to a Zonda, but it's knocking on the Supercar club door it's slower than a 911 GT2 RS (  ) but still manages 0-60 in 3.5s and 0-100 in 7.7s Ok I'll shut up now

I've always been a Pagani fan, I'm one of those strange folks who covers the Countach anniversary!
One day I shall collect his creations (even if in 1.43 scale)..
As for Bugatti - of course I would! Less dramatic, but mind boggling engineering.
I think the Huyara (sounds like being punched in the stomach) will be another epic series of cars...

Countach, Diablo, F40 and Zonda are definitely the most stunning cars in the last 50 years or so. However, Aeromax, Miura, California and 288 GTO are the most beautiful!!

We all have our favorites, and because it is now such a familiar shape and sight it is easy to forget the impact the E-Type made in the early 60's. Jaguar fresh from Le Mans victories and the success of the XK sports cars was right at the cutting edge as the sixties began to swing.
