well done on your new purchase. There comes a time when you just have to bite the bullet. Sometime we find that the car finds us, not us it, and this appears to be the case with yours.

Having just returned from a weekend in a wet and muddy Le Mans camp site, and enjoyed a lovely drive back to Caen last night, all I can say is "get out and enjoy the car whenever, even if it just around the block"

So Steve, it was down to you and a few others that I ended up buying a morgan, the weather in france was bad and I was only there 36 hours. On the way back I saw two chaps in a broken down soft top just outside the port and helped tow them into the port car park so they could get out of the rain and get some hot food and drinks.Don,t think I can just own a morgan as a sole car, no space for day to day use and I have two pugs that will never like it, so its a fun car only but will get used. michael

Michael - was that last month, and was it a 4 seater? If so I meet one of the passengers last night at the Caen ferry port.

Although some will use a Morgan as a daily drive, I would suggest starting with a tin-top for those days when you have transport those items not suitable for windy ride. swmbo

Lovely car Michael. Enjoy it.

I'm curious to know what the previous owner considered too old to own a Morgan.

All you folks suffering from lack of sunshine need to get yourselves over here. Just at the moment we almost have too much sunshine with temperatures in the shade running into the 30s, sometimes the high 30s. Sounds terrible to say it but in the middle of the day it is too hot to drive with the top down, you just fry, but the mornings and evenings are wonderful. Then there is always the lake if you want to cool off, or a drive up into the mountains. laugh

hi. the first owner just after buying the car had to have a replacment shoulder join op, so the car was just to hard for him. no power steering etc. he is over 75 years old. I was on the poole 7 o clock crossing on the 5th returned on the 6th on the 11.30 crossing. on the 6th there wasa number of morgans around, lotus and e types and austin 3000,s. etc. michael

Just got back from the Le Mans Classic last night in my 4/4 Sport which was huge fun on the circuit. Congratulations Michael...i'm sure you will enjoy! I was amazed at my fuel consumption, or lack of it.....a full tank got me back into the circuit for Sunday and lasted all the way to Caen and then on up to the Midlands last night without refilling! And thats with the competition back axle ratio fitted too!!
