The break-in ECM perimeters provide that for the 1st 2 hours the engine is restricted to 4,250 RPM and then restricted to 5,100 RPM for the next 50 hours. after that the rev limit is 5,800 PRM with max power around 5.500 RPM. info from an S&S dealer.

Took some digging to find this thread and I keep needing to reference it; possibly sticky worthy?

I changed my oil and filter at 500 miles, filter came from Harley Ferguson in Leeds and their chap said a good running in oil would be Castrol Classic 20-50 so thats what it got. No problems what so ever. It's just tipped the magic 1000 now so I thought I'd book it in at Ledgerwoods for its first official spannering.

Had to dig for this one again, so another trip to the top of the list. I am sure some new people may find this a worthwhile bump.

I believe there's a difference between ester snythetic and normal fully synthetic, ester is supposedly much better though.

I used opieoil for my oil, very knowledgeable bunch of guys
