I am thinking about going to the silverstone classic next week, having been to the Goodwood Festival of speed/Revival last year I was wondering what the public car park arrangements are,do they have tarmac car parks for this event or is it Grass/Mud At goodwood the car parks were on grass, having watched the F1 Grand Prix last week the car parks were muddy to say the least,

The public car parks at Silverstone are tarmac, and are probably big enough for most events (but not the GP). Get there early though. It's probably too late to get a club ticket to park inside the circuit, although it might be worth checking the Silverstone website.

Just had an update from the Morgan organisers. Some of the grassed area is still wet and muddy, so you should go prepared. I'm taking my walking boots. I'm not taking the Roadster because we have family commitments tomorrow, and I will have to leave mid afternoon Saturday, so it's just not practical this time. I'll be there as the gates open on Saturday. I'm really looking forward to it though. And next week is the Gaydon event.

Looking forward to my Saturday drive around the test circuit (can't remember what time I booked and I guess I'll be leavinga lot of camera gear at the security desk). Plus looking forward to another wooden spoon in Sunday's Autosolo Cheers,

What about the bacon sarnies from the cafe? Very good last time I was there.
