First proper drive yesterday. Met up with two others for a drive. About 250 miles in total. RDV at Dowlais Top on A465. Still big roadworks up in that area with quite spectacular bridge building. First stop..Baffle House near Abergavenny. A biker stop plus a classic car dealer. Couple of Ferraris, e-type, Merc 230, Maserati V8, Corvettes, DeLorean and a Plus4 Morgan. Lots of displayed bikes. Nice food too. Coffee and a wrap. Next stop Tintern Abbey via Usk and Chepstow for coffee in the Anchor Inn. On to Monmouth up the Wye valley past Erwood then cross country from Monmouth to Abergavenny avoiding the A40 dual carriageway. A40 to Builth Wells. Busy there due to Royal Welsh Show. Llandovery for food in the Kings Head then home via Llandeilo. Car was a pleasure to drive and the weather held ok. A couple of more runs planned to get up to the 1000mile first check/service before Morgans at Windermere and Scotland in September and work out my mpg for easier filling up on long runs!
