Got back last night after a 10 day trip. Morgans at Windermere then off to the highlands for 7 nights. Nearly 3000 miles in great weather. Car faultless and great comfort. Averaged about 200 miles a day including ferries to Mull and Skye ( return only as the Skye bridge was used outward). Stunning views. More so than last year in the Plus8 to Loch Lomond. Base was Roy Bridge just North of Fort William. Booked for next year with difficulty! Hotels have been filled with pre booking already. The ferries are a bit of a mess due to lack of investment ( SNP gov showing their lack of focus). Traffic was mixed with the effect of campervans, tour buses etc making the winding roads a convoy in some places. Looking forward to next year. Photos to follow when I get sorted.
