My 4/4 has a mild re-map of the ECU, which is a better map than standard. Torque comes up about 500 rpm lower but is much the same.
Suspension is virtually standard with the addition of panhard rod & anti tramp bars. (The tramp bars are really only there to protect the springs) camber & track have been optimised.
The car is great fun to drive & on track more than capable for its class.
Not sure why straight out of the factory everything is a bit vague as if properly set up the cars are great fun. Guess that is part of owning Morgans.

Some very sensible enhancements there IcePack thumbs

Morgan builds cars to a price, generally they do a pretty good job but it is a business after all, it's also very much a hand made car so some variance in build quality is inevitable, and in some respects that's all part of the charm.

I'd argue adding a few sensible improvements actually enhances the Morgan ownership experience, you get to develop and bond with your car which can be hugely rewarding when you get it right. However, even the most highly developed Trad Morgan is a very compromised thing, so the 'John Wilcox' state of mind theory will still always very much apply.

I came from a 190mph tuned Aston Martin V8 Vantage that made 470hp, but I still fell in love with my Plus 4 just the way I bought it, even with its 143hp and wayward rear suspension. This is illogical to most, but the truth is the Aston had little or no character and you needed to be driving it at insanely illegal speeds before it delivered any real thrills. Monty the Morgan on the other hand, even when the rear suspension was severely worn out, had me literally laughing out loud with joy (and a little bit of fear) on a winding B road at just 55mph rofl

I loved my Morgan for what it was from the very first day I drove it, but knew it could be way way better, so I carefully improved Monty and now I love him even more.

It’s all quite simple really wink
