The Italian 🇮🇹 trip has begun. The drive to Newcastle to catch the overnight ferry was quite pleasant. The DFDS service is absolutely superb, what a pleasure, all immaculate and a comfortable cabin. the buffet meal and breakfast had endless choice and dozens of attentive staff. It’s been a long drive from Amsterdam to our next stop here in Munich, top speed on the autobahn was 170mph but petrol disappears fast at that speed and I paid a whopping 2.54euro per litre for the premium stuff on the motorway so probably not worth the time saving.
